Delete your JawBuddy account

You can permanently delete your account and associated data for the JawBuddy: TMJ & Bruxism app. You can make the request in the app or use the email option below if you no longer have access to it.

Request deletion without the app

  1. Email us from the address registered to your JawBuddy account.
  2. Use the subject “Delete my JawBuddy account”. Do not include health information in the email.
  3. Follow the identity-verification instructions we send you. This protects your account from unauthorized deletion.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open JawBuddy and go to Profile.
  2. Open Privacy & Sharing and select Delete Account.
  3. Review the warning and confirm the deletion request.

Data that is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes the personal data associated with it, including:

  • Account, profile, contact, and authentication data
  • Health information, symptom assessments, and jaw measurements
  • Exercise and course progress, check-ins, and treatment-plan data
  • Device, notification, and session tokens linked to the account
  • Your uploaded profile image

Data that may be retained

We retain only data that is necessary for a legal, regulatory, security, or accounting obligation:

  • Consent, transaction, invoice, and regulatory records for the period required by applicable law
  • Minimal deletion and security records needed to document the request and prevent fraud
  • Aggregated or anonymized analytics that can no longer identify you or be linked to your account

Deletion timeline

We process verified requests without undue delay and complete permanent deletion within 30 days. Data kept under a legal retention obligation remains access-restricted and is not used for other purposes.

Cancel a Google Play subscription separately

Deleting your JawBuddy account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Before deleting your account, open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → JawBuddy and cancel the subscription to stop future renewals.

For security, we may ask you to verify that you control the email address associated with the account. Never send passwords, health records, or payment details by email.
